FLETCHER just dropped the music video for her latest single, “Becky’s So Hot,” which sees the singer fantasizing about her ex’s new girl, for which she recruited none other than Bella Thorne to play.

The video starts with FLETCHER having a bit of alone bedtime fun as she lusts over her ex’s new boo simply in the song’s lyrics. “Are you in love like we were?/ If I were you, I’d probably keep her / Makes me wanna hit her when I see her,” she sings in the chorus. “Cause Becky’s so hot in your vintage t-shirt / Ooh, she the one I should hate / But I wanna know how she taste.”

Eventually the fantasy turns tumultuous as “Becky” aka Bella appears for a steamy motorcycle ride and make out sesh, and their chemistry is absolutely everything.

Curious about the song’s inspo, well here’s the tea. As FLETCHER revealed in the single’s press release, the track is partially based on a true story. “I wrote ‘Becky’s So Hot’ a couple of years ago after I was creeping on my ex’s new girlfriend’s Instagram while I was in the studio,” she said. “I accidentally liked a picture of her wearing a vintage T-shirt of my ex’s, one that I’ve worn before.”

YIKES! Literally our worst nightmare, but apparently FLETCHER was not concerned, telling Zane Lowe that she decided not to unlike the photo, explaining, “You have to lean in. It’s like, ‘I’m gonna own the fact that yes, I was creeping.’”

So, who is Becky IRL? It’s likely Becky Missal, who is reportedly dating Shannon Beveridge, a YouTuber and FLETCHER’s ex-girlfriend.

Obvi hardcore fans take things rather personal and into their own hands, and started sending hate to Missal and Beveridge, which actually did have FLETCHER concerned. Resulting in her tweeting, “hey fam pleeeease do not comment on anyone’s instagrams or throw negativity any ones way. that is not what this is.”

What it is, is FLETCHER turning the usual ex has a new girlfriend jealousy song on its head, by instead of being jealous of her ex for being with Becky, it’s the other way around. “It felt more interesting to me to write something from the perspective of being in awe of Becky,” FLETCHER said. “Sort of like ‘damn… it kinda stings that she’s so hot, but I can’t even be mad about it because I get it… she’s hot.’”
