Best green outfits of Sydney Sweeney

The Lizzie McGuire series continues to leave its mark on fashion, with one former character serving as an apparent ‘fit influence for Sydney Sweeney. After sporting a custom LaQuan Smith silver breastplate to GQ’s Men of the Year Awards in London, Sydney switched things up, wearing a colorful gown to GQ Spain’s Men of the Year Awards.

It appears that the Barbiecore pink trend is slowly being replaced with shades of green, and Sydney’s Versace gown was a softer take on the trending hue. The long gown featured a v-neck with ruched detailing, and a singular stitch ran down the center of the dress.

The Euphoria star paired the sleek style with Chopard diamond accessories, glamorous soft curls, and shimmering eye makeup.

Posing for a few Instagram photos, Sydney revealed the look was inspired by Lizzie. In an accompanying carousel of images from her “crazy fun 12 hours in Spain,” Sydney included a photo from the Lizzie McGuire movie.

As you can see in Sydney’s post, her green dress was the same color as the ‘fit worn by Isabella Parigi in The Lizzie McGuire movie. In fact, Sydney’s post highlights one of the movie’s biggest scenes: the moment in which Lizzie and Isabella take to the stage together for a performance of “What Dreams Are Made Of.”

Instagram followers were quick to leave Lizzie references in the comments, writing, ”
It’s giving ‘sing to me paolo'” and “I honestly didn’t think I could love you more. Then I got to that last slide.” Even the official Instagram account commented, writing, “Making our lizzie mcguire dreams come true.”

Sydney’s dress actually has some ties to pre-Lizzie fashion, too, as Tab Vintage confirmed, the style is from Versace’s fall/winter 1995 couture collection. Sydney was styled for the event by Molly Dickson. Her glam featured hair by Glen Coco Oropeza, makeup by Melissa Hernadez, and nails by Zola Ganzorigt.
