If you watched the first episode of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club on MTV last night (it’s streaming on the MTV site now for those that missed it/can’t wait to watch again), I’m willing to bet it didn’t take long for you to be hooked. From Lindsay’s total boss moves, to the drunken pool party, to the drama that took approximately 30 seconds to begin brewing, this show has all the great elements of a winning reality series. Oh, plus there are A TON of butts.

This was likely inevitable, considering the show takes place in two locations, following the drama of the VIP hosts as they live in a villa and as they work on the beach in Mykonos, Greece. Of course sunbathers will be in bathing suits, and skimpy ones at that. But what LLBC does to take it to another level is insert some of reality TV’s best b-roll. Sure, there are the shots of the Mykonos coastline and close-ups of tasty drinks, but it’s the booty shaking that really sets the vibe of this place. It’s a sexy, carefree locale where behinds are massaged and shown off for all to see. The butt shaking doesn’t stop where the ocean starts: it continues straight into the water. As the episode progressed, I found myself laughing every time there was new butt b-roll shown, but I wasn’t mad at it. It’s a bold and brilliant choice for this show that sets the scene like no other.

Now, it’s not the cast members who are showing off their backsides (YET). These particular butts could be on vacationers, but probably belong to some heiney models who were hopefully paid very generously to shake it for the cameras, no faces required. But the real truth is that the Lindsay Lohan Beach Club cast members had no complaints about the amount of cheeks they encountered at their workplace.

“I think for us here in the U.S., breasts and butts are very sexualized,” cast member Gabi Andrews explained to Decider. “And now don’t get me wrong, there are some beautiful men and women on the beach, but it’s very laid back, everybody is just there to tan and you don’t want your tan lines. So everybody’s there to rock a swimsuit and their itty bitty thong, breasts out, no worries and get tan,” she laughed.

However, some cast members did decide to work more of a poker face when it comes to the bounty of buttocks on the beach. “There were a lot of attractive people and they were showing off their bodies, but I was pretty stressed at work a lot of the time so I really wasn’t focused on that, I was just focused on getting through the day,” Aristotle Polites told us. Okay, buddy!

The bottom (hehe) line is that there are a lot of reasons to watch this series: it’s a terrific train wreck that’s also delivering Lohan’s overdue comeback. But if you’re just tuning in to see some derrières, you won’t be disappointed.
