Katy Perry really gave the people what they wanted at King Charles’ coronation.
The global superstar had the nation gripped throughout the day as even those who were confused that she was attending the monumental service at Westminster Abbey were soon very thankful that she was there.
Arriving in a show-stopping Vivienne Westwood pink outfit, she immediately turned heads with her humongous hat as she entered the abbey.
Just moments later she unwittingly became the most talked about attendee of the coronation when she proved to be just like the rest of us as we watched her struggling to find her seat, asking strangers for directions until she eventually found her place.
Thankfully, she seemed to find the fascination as hysterical as we did as she tweeted: ‘Don’t worry guys i found my seat.’
It didn’t end there for the singer though as on her way out she stumbled over, almost face-planting the ground and ruining what was without a doubt one of the fashion highlights of the day.
Hopefully there will be more of this chaotic energy when she takes to the stage on Sunday for the king’s coronation concert where she’s performing alongside the likes of Take That and her American Idol co-star Lionel Richie.
Perry first met Charles back in 2019 at an event in Mumbai before he appointed her ambassador for the British Asian Trust.
Tonight she’ll be staying at Windsor castle and has promised fans she’ll be sharing plenty of pics throughout her stay.
Speaking of the invite and what inspired her to accept, she told Extra: ‘It was very regal. It was like a cursive I have never seen [before]… I loved it. It was beautiful.
