Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are never shy about sharing their, um, appreciation for each other in public, but they’ve been much more тιԍнт-lipped about their possible split. Adding to the confusion is the fact that they were both at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch on May 18 but walked the red carpet separately.

It’s a situation that can be read in two ways. Since Fox was one of this year’s swimsuit cover models, MGK’s showing up to the event could be a sign of his support and an indication that the relationship is on the mend. Yay for love! Then again, the fact that they appeared to arrive separately and did not pose for any red-carpet pics together might mean that they’re still on the rocks. Boo for heartbreak.

Fox’s look, as per usual, oozed Sєx appeal. The actor wore a boob-baring black dress with a plunging scoop-neck sheer bodice and figure-skimming silk skirt. Kelly, meanwhile, wore a pinstriped white suit that he punked up with combat boots and a jeweled neck piece. Maybe it was intentional, or maybe they just can’t help themselves, but even apart their looks were like two sides of the same coin

People reports that they did not walk the carpet together and Fox was not seen with her possibly ex-fiancé at the LoveSac-sponsored after-party, where he was performing. But People also published a few snaps of MGK and Fox having a cute moment at the Sports Illustrated event. It’s their first red-carpet event together in months, and it’s still as cryptic as the Instagram caption Megan Fox wrote that started the breakup rumors in the first place. At this point, I almost miss the tongue-touching pH๏τos. At least those were unambiguous.
