Lindsay Lohan will not star as Batgirl in the DCEU

When it comes to the comic book movie scene, there are plenty of different rumours which circulate every single day and it can sometimes be difficult to know which ones to believe, but one thing is definitely for sure right now, and that is that we are not going to get to see a Batgirl movie in the DC Extended Universe any time soon, as it was recently confirmed that Joss Whedon has moved away from the project.

The news will not come as too much of a surprise to many of the comic book movie fans around the world, as a lot of us did not expect Warner Bros. and DC to push too hard with the Batgirl movie, especially since they have been having so much trouble with the Batman project. Meanwhile, there is a certain actress in Hollywood who is definitely going to be disappointed that the Batgirl movie has been delayed.

Lindsay Lohan has made it perfectly clear in the past few weeks and months that she really wants to be cast in the role of Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl for the planned Warner Bros. and DC film. Now that the plans have been delayed, with a new writer and a new director needed for the project, it seems even more unlikely than ever that we will ever see Lindsay Lohan as Batgirl in the DCEU.
