Dua’s fashionable displays come after she slammed United Airlines over the way her sister Rina’s peanut allergy was handled.

The London-born singer tweeted: ‘I can’t believe i’m on a @united flight rn and I told the steward that my sister was severely allergic to nuts and his reply was “we’re not a nut free airline so if she has an epi pen she might have to use that as we can’t not serve other pᴀssengers in your section nuts”.’ [sic]

‘Is it just me or is that kinda mental???’ she added in a follow-up tweet.

United Airlines immediately reached out to Dua via Twitter encouraging her to make contact with them directly.

‘Pᴀssenger safety is our top priority,’ the airline tweeted in response. ‘We can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment but we work to address allergy concerns onboard ie we don’t serve pre-packaged peanuts.’

‘We want to address your concerns so let’s connect when you land. We’ll contact our in-flight crew too.’

It’s not known where Dua and Rina, 17, a rising Instagram star, were traveling to and from.

United Airlines later issued a statement to people in which it said the company had apologized directly to the singer and was reaching out to the flight crew to learn more abut what had taken place.

The statement added: ‘On Ms. Lipa’s flight, United did not serve pre-packaged peanuts, as we don’t serve that item on any of our flights. While we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, we work to address allergy concerns onboard.’
