Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan, who’s starred in award-winning blockbusters like Mean Girls, Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, has revealed that she is making a major career change

Lindsay Lohan has updated fans about a major new career change.

The award-winning actress whose acting filmography includes Mean Girls, Parent Trap and Freaky Friday has announced that she will add reality TV to her CV.

Lindsay took to Instagram to make the unexpected announcement, leaving fans in shock.

The Hollywood star revealed that her latest project is as the voiceover for Amazon Prime UK’s new reality show Lovestruck High.

The caption read: “Your next summer fling is coming in hot. We couldn’t be more excited that Lindsay Lohan is the voiceover for our brand new reality dating show Lovestruck High.”

The new dating competition will take single contestants go “back to school” in order to find love.

The show, which is scheduled to launch on May 18, will place 15 single British students in an American high school.

Lindsay will provide voiceover commentary as the singletons try to find love and secure a date for prom, hoping to be crowned prom royalty and cash prize of $100,000 (£76,000) prize.

The actress shared the exciting news with a gorgeous selfie while sitting in a recording studio wearing headphones.

Lindsay’s loyal legion of followers flooded the comments section with positive and upbeat messages.

One wrote: “Booked and busy… love that for her.”

Another penned: “Yes, I love her voice and will be tuning in just to listen to Lindsay!!!”

A third wrote: “Queen of being nothing but a success.”

It comes a week after the Hollywood star shared a snap on Instagram from a celebration of her engagement to fiancé Bader Shammas.

In a picture of the actress and her fiancé she wrote: “My forever,” with a heart emoji.

She revealed her engagement to Bader in an Instagram post on November 28 as she shared a series of shots of them together while she donned an engagement ring.

Lindsay captioned the announcement: “My love. My life. My family. My future.”
