ALEXA DEMIE’S MET GALA 2022 ABSENCE CONFUSES FANS AS STAR WAS RUMOURED TO ATTEND

Anna Wintour’s much-anticipated Met Gala took place at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday and the evening’s looks are the talk of the internet today.

Every year, singers, actors, influencers, models and other important figures join the star-studded celebrity guest list and the world can’t wait to see what they will wear to the prestigious fashion event.

Kylie Jenner sported a huge Off-White gown, Kim Kardashian walked the steps in a dazzling dress once worn by Marilyn Monroe and Vanessa Hudgens stole the show in a black, lace number.

Fans especially couldn’t wait to see what Euphoria star Alexa Demie would wear after she was rumoured to be attending, but she wasn’t at the event after all…

ALEXA DEMIE WASN’T AT THE MET GALA
Before the charity gala, actress Sydney Sweeney revealed that she would be going to the event for the first time ever, and many publications reported that she would attend with her Euphoria co-stars.

The Cut reported that Barbie Ferreira, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Angus Cloud were all invited, whilst Elle also reported that the full cast was likely to make an appearance.

However, whilst Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow and Jacob Elordi did indeed walk the famous steps as expected, there was one person missing – Alexa Demie.

The actress, who plays Maddy Perez in the HBO teen drama series, was nowhere to be seen, and fans are devastated about it.

FANS CONFUSED ABOUT STAR’S ABSENCE
Over on Twitter, fans aren’t happy that Alexa Demie didn’t attend the Met Gala.

Everyone was expecting her to be at the fashion event.

Hunter Schafer wasn’t there either.

HER EUPHORIA CO-STARS DID ATTEND
At the time of writing this, Alexa hasn’t addressed her Met Gala absence, but three of her Euphoria co-stars did attend.

Sydney Sweeney arrived in a stunning white Tory Burch gown which was changed into a minidress whilst she was on the red carpet.

Her on-screen lover Jacob Elordi kept it simple with a white shirt and black tuxedo which was covered in black embellishments.

Zendaya disappointingly wasn’t at the gala either, but Maude Apatow attended in a black bodycon gown that echoed the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme perfectly.

Designed by Miu Miu, the off the shoulder dress was covered in black fringing and she paired the look with classic 1920s Hollywood waves.
