SHE said she would do it and true to her word, Katy Perry has gone naked in a new video to encourage Americans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

What she failed to mention was that her assets would be covered with black bars à la Kim Kardashian that time she attempted to break the internet.

But still, more power to her.

In the light-hearted clip Katy turns up to vote in the buff, but soon runs into trouble when the police turn up to arrest her.

She finds herself in the back of a police car next to a fellow naturist voter.

The superstar is a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and said she’s going to use her body as “clickbait” in the daring video.

Roar singer K-Pez took to Twitter on Monday to announce she would be releasing the clip on Tuesday, a day after the Presidential debate.

The picture sees Katy standing in a hall naked with her private parts blurred.

Her hair is a shaggy mess with bits of food and rubbish stuck in it, including a lollipop.

The slogan in red, white and blue reads: “Katy Perry Votes Naked Tomorrow” with the caption: “TOMORROW, I USE MY BODY AS CLICK BAIT TO HELP CHANGE THE WORLD”, followed by the fist bump emoji.

Katy has been a long-time supporter of Hillary and spoke and performed at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in July.

She also joined her on the campaign trail in Iowa and tweeted in support of her during the debate against the Republican candidate Donald Trump on Monday night.

She wrote: “I didn’t finish high school and, unfortunately, I don’t have a formal education.

“But I do have an open mind and I have a voice. I’m asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice, because on Nov. 8, you’ll be just as powerful as any NRA lobbyist.

“You’ll have as much say as any billionaire. Or you can just cancel out your weird cousin’s vote, if you’d like.”

It seems the appreciation is mutual as Hillary told E! News that Katy would be at the top of her list if she had a squad like Taylor Swift.

She said: “I’ve been lucky enough to hang out with some pretty cool celebrities on the campaign trail, like Katy Perry, America Ferrera, Demi Lovato and Tony Goldwyn so they’d definitely be in my squad!”

Hillary’s daughter Chelsea agreed and added: “Can I just pick — this is gonna sound so absurd — but can I just say that I really share my mom’s girl crush on Katy Perry?

“I think that she is amazing — she would man my squad. Woman my squad!”
