It was deja vu all over again for Jennifer Aniston on The Morning Show this week.
On the latest episode of her smash hit Apple TV+ show costarring Reese Witherspoon, the 54-year-old Friends star wore a gown that looked awfully familiar.
That is because the blonde beauty from California had on a replica of an old dress she already debuted on the red carpet 13 years ago.
The original frock was shown off during the January 2010 Golden Globe Awards.
The dress is memorable because it was not only plunging in front, but it also had a high slit up one leg.
At the awards show, Jennifer stunned audience members because she looked incredibly youthful. At the time she was 40 but she looked more like 30.
In 2010 she had just broken up with My Body Is A Wonderland singer John Mayer.
The episode the dress showed up on was number seven.
Aniston’s character Alex and her pal Chris (Nicole Beharie) attend a splashy soiree hosted by fashion designer by Valentino and creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Alex looks ravishing in the one-shoulder dress.
‘It’s interesting — I had brought several dresses in, and while we were having the fitting, [Aniston] was like, “You know what I want to wear? I want to wear the dress that I wore to the Golden Globes. I think it was in 2010 that Valentino designed for me. I want that dress,”‘ one of the show’s costume designers, Debra Maguire, told People.
‘So we went to Pierpaolo to see if that was possible, if they would make that for her,’ she continued.
‘And they did. That’s really what she wanted to wear. It’s very Jen. It’s very Alex. It’s very everything. It’s very Valentino.’
Beharie also wore a Valentino dress which model Kristen McMenamy had on in March 2022 for Paris Fashion Week.
‘When we were approaching the Valentino Gala, it was right from the very beginning that we wanted it visually to have a really, really cohesive look,’ says another of the show’s costume designers, Sophie De Rakoff.
‘That was the perfect intersection of what Valentino was doing at that moment and what was needed for the show because they were just coming off the back of the PP Pink Collection.’
‘In terms of Nicole’s dress, we worked within what was in that collection,’ De Rakoff continues.
‘It was about finding the dress that would be the most spectacular, that her character would be comfortable wearing. That would work for Nicole as a person and her body type, but work for Chris Hunter, the character in that moment in the gala, which was how we landed on that specific dress, which Kristen McMenamy actually wore on the catwalk, but this one was custom built for Nicole so that it would work for her physically.’
The Morning Show is currently streaming on Apple TV+.
This comes after Aniston revealed how she stays in such impressive shape.
The Marley & Me star talked staying trim and toned in her 50s as she named her top four rules she lives by.
‘I drink a lot of water, move my body daily, try to eat whole, fresh foods, and get as much sleep as I can,’ she said in the Issue 23 of CR Fashion Book.
Adding: ‘That last part is challenging for me, but it’s so important. I feel it when I don’t get enough rest.
‘In addition to all of that, I try to be really mindful about what I let into my headspace.’ That likely means less binge watching cable news.
