AFTER the party it’s the after party, and after the Brits Katy Perry made sure that she partied like a champion with fellow singer Ellie Goulding.
The pop star hit Universal’s star studded bash, where she let it all hang out in an unbuttoned sheer top that exposed her black bra underneath.
Dancing behind the decks with DJ Nick Grimshaw, Katy was in high spirits and allowed her colourful dress to fall open.
The dress, covered with an all over red rose print, was a sheer, floor-length design by American designer Adam Selman.
Selman is famed for his work with Rihanna, with whom he first teamed up with in 2011. Over a period of two years Adam was responsible for over 100 of Rihanna’s outfits.
He set his own label in 2013 but continues to make outfits for her, including the infamous see-through number she wore at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2014.
Ellie Goulding wore a simple LBD with matching heels and a silver charm necklace.
Both women bounced around as Grimmers worked his way through a high energy set.
They laughed and joked with the Radio 1 DJ as he kept them entertained, having a whale of a time.
Both women had changed their outfits for the evening’s festivities, both opting for slightly less formal attire than they had at the awards ceremony.
At the Brits, held at London’s O2 arena, Katy had tied her hair up harshly into a series of elaborate top knots.
She wore a matching chain mail dress and jacket by Versace, which was pink and shades of grey.
Katy teamed the items with a pair of metallic effect heels and a bronze choker.
During her performance she changed into a suit, singing amongst a group of dancers who were dressed as houses.
Katy chose to make an overt political statement with her performance, bringing out a couple of skeleton puppets which represented Donald Trump and Theresa May.
Perry’s team explained that the bouncing paper houses represented the crumbling of the American Dream.
Meanwhile Ellie Goulding’s red carpet ensemble comprised a daring black number with an open front held together by gold effect chains, with a slash down the left leg.
Both women left the Universal bash with a skip in their step, Ellie looked groggy while Katy happily posed for pictures next to a Volkswagen Beetle covered with leopard print.
