Lisa Ann Walter has the perfect role in mind for Lindsay Lohan!
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards red carpet on Sunday, the actress said she “would love” to see Lohan, 37, guest star on Abbott Elementary.
“I guess we’d have to make her a relative since we’re both redheads — since I’m a ‘redhead,’ and she actually is. I would love that. That would be so fun,” she told the outlet.
Long before playing Melissa Schemmenti on the hit ABC sitcom, Walter starred alongside Lohan in the beloved 1998 film. The Nancy Meyers-directed project centered around twins Hallie and Annie Parker, who were separated at a young age amid their parents’ divorce and portrayed by Lohan. Walter, 60, played Cheesy, the housekeeper of the twins’ father Nick (Dennis Quaid).
Rounding out Walter’s list of dream guest stars are fellow comedians Whoopi Goldberg and Wanda Sykes, with whom she also has a special connection.
“Whoopi Goldberg did the first big movie that I was in. She was the star. She was so nice to me, such a beautiful soul. Took care of me when I was in heartbreak,” Walter told the outlet, referencing the 1996 comedy Eddie. “And Wanda Sykes, who I started comedy with.”
Although it has been years since Walter and Lohan have shared the screen, the two recently connected over the birth of Lohan and husband Bader Shammas’ son Luai, whose birth was confirmed to PEOPLE in July.
Walter told PEOPLE in September that she contacted Lohan “via social media” upon the news of Luai’s birth and said that she “sent something to [Lohan’s] dad [Michael Lohan] to get to her next time he sees her.”
“She posted something and I think it was about being tired, and I immediately go into that mom mode of ‘nap when he does, make sure you get sleep, it doesn’t matter what you look like — you’re in great shape,’ just all the advice that comes out. But she’s just doing so well,” she told PEOPLE.
According to Walter, Lohan showed her maternal nature at an early age.
“I knew she was going to be a good mother when we worked with her because she walked around with her little brother, that little two-year-old Dakota [Lohan]. And she would just walk around with him on her hip carrying him around,” she told PEOPLE. “She was very good to her brothers and sister.”
When asked by PEOPLE at the premiere of the Mean Girls musical film last week if she identifies as a “cool mom,” Lohan said with a laugh, “I hope so.”
