Lindsay Lohan Just Brought Back Her Favorite Y2K Beauty Trend On The Red Carpet

Y2K fashion has officially reached its peak — low-rise jeans, ballet flats, and velour tracksuits are everywhere nowadays. And early-aughts beauty isn’t far behind. Need proof? Look no further than Lindsay Lohan’s glam for the launch party for Clarins’s new Multi-Active collection, which featured a performance from Christina Aguilera.

On Friday, Lohan attended the event in Los Angeles (which also coincided with the beauty brand’s 70th anniversary) while wearing a monochromatic look that included a pastel pink dress with a thigh-high slit and a matching belt haphazardly tied around her waist and a slouchy double-breasted blazer in the same hue. Matching ankle-strap heels, a mini handbag, and diamond jewelry rounded out her look.

Meanwhile, the soft pink tones of Lohan’s outfit complemented her beauty look, which consisted of dewy skin, shimmery lids, rosy cheeks, and, of course, a generous swipe of lip gloss. Back in the 2000s, every girl had a tube of shiny pink lip gloss in her purse (Lohan, included) and she’s excited that it’s making a comeback.

“I was aiming for a look with simple glam: great skin with glossy lips,” she exclusively told InStyle about her glam for the evening by makeup artist Michael Anthony, adding that glossy lips are one of her favorite Y2K beauty trends. “I love to see it happening again! Y2K fashion and beauty truly embraced individuality and self-expression in a way that continues to inspire me.”
