Alexa Demie Cuts Ties With Balenciaga By Unfollowing Them On Instagram And Has Deleted Her Campaign Photos

It seems “Euphoria” star Alexa Demie has decided to part ways with Balenciaga after their scandalous campaigns fueled public outrage. Users noticed that the celebrity unfollowed Balenciaga on Instagram, even going as far as to delete her campaign photos.
Alexa Demie will always be iconic. Fans recently noticed that the Euphoria actress has unfollowed Balenciaga on Instagram. She even removed her photoshoots with the luxury brand, including the images from her campaign this past fall.

Demie was featured in Balenciaga’s Winter 2022 campaign alongside Kim Kardashian, Khadim Sock, Big Matthew, and Kim Yeon-koung. The 32-year-old was pictured on a cold and snowy street in New York City while she wore a white bodysuit under a black dress.

Her other photo displayed her in a long, fur coat with a silver Balenciaga bag. Demie looked stellar in all of her shoots, and it’s too bad the fashion house tarnished their reputation this year. She also attended multiple Balenciaga shows in the past and wore their designs on the red carpet. This includes the design house’s 2023 runway show where Demie wore a denim jumpsuit, which was held at the New York Stock Exchange.

While it is evident that Demie no longer has ties with Balenciaga on social media, she has yet to make an official announcement.

Balenciaga amassed public outrage in early November when they posted campaign photos of young kids holding teddy bears in bondage gear. They replaced those images on their website with a different picture that showed documents on child pornography, and that’s not all – users also spotted art books in their ads that contained paintings of naked toddlers and cannibalism. To take it even further, the CEO of Balenciaga was found to own a site that sold child mannequins with erect penises on their faces, allegedly as “art.”

Alexa Demie was one of the few celebrities who decided to go against the grain by cutting ties with Balenciaga. Kim Kardashian – who is an ambassador for the luxury brand herself – issued a weak apology on Twitter a week after the scandal, but never made the decision to part ways with them. In fact, she still follows Balenciaga on Instagram. With Demie taking the lead, is it possible other celebrities will follow suit? We sure hope so!  Love Evie? Sign up for our newsletter and get curated content weekly!
