The BBC posted an onscreen apology during Demi Lovato’s performance at the Biggest Weekend, and it appeared to be because she did a sexy dance with a woman and told the crowd ‘love who you wanna love.’
Seriously?!
During her performance of Cool For The Summer, alluding to Demi’s bisexuality, the singer did a racy dance with a female dancer before shouting at the crowd: ‘Love who you wanna love and go tell your mother!’
Shortly afterwards, an apology message appeared on screen for those watching on iPlayer, which read: ‘We apologise if you’ve been offended by anything in this stream.’

Turns out they needed an apology for their apology, as the apology itself caused a fair whack of offense. Would they have apologised if she’d danced with a man?!
Fans took to Twitter to air their disgust at the idea of apologising for Demi telling fans to be comfortable with their sexuality.
However, in a statement to metro.co.uk, the BBC claimed the apology was in fact due to bad language, which was not broadcast to all listeners.
They said: ‘All artists are reminded not to use strong language at any point whilst on stage as their set will be broadcast live on the BBC and an apology slide was issued during the performance that was live streamed online.’
The singer seemed to have a ball on stage, unaware that her performance was being apologised for.
She blasted out her hits including Sorry, Not Sorry, No Promises and Confident, while giving one heck of a confident performance.
Nothing to apologise for there.
