KATY Perry suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction in a sheer black dress after appearing on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show.
The Firework singer – who recently announced she is quitting American Idol – accidentally revealed her nipple pasties under the flimsy fabric.
Katy, 41, displayed her nipple covers under the camera flash as she left the set of the late-night chat show.
The mother of one was wearing a black dress that featured cut-outs along the bodice and a thigh slit.
She accessorized with silver butterfly detailing and black strappy-heeled sandals.
The Teenage Dream hitmaker styled her hair in choppy bangs and swept the rest of it into a messy updo.
Katy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, where she announced that the upcoming season of American Idol will be her last.
“This fall, in September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio,” she said.
“So I think this will probably be my last season for Idol.”
When the crowd gasped, Katy quickly added, “I mean, I love Idol so much.
“It’s connected me with the heart of America, but I need to feel that pulse of my own beat.”
When Jimmy asked what her fellow Idol judges thought of the move, Katy said, “Well, they’ll find out tonight!
“I love them so much. They figure I’ve been in the studio for a while so they figured something is coming.”
She joined American Idol in 2018 when the show was revived on ABC for its 16th season.
The singer has lasted 7 seasons alongside fellow music superstars Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
Idol viewers have predicted that Katy might be replaced by Jennifer Lopez.
Fans think the Let’s Get Loud singer, 54, could return to the music competition after several years away.
Jennifer was a judge for seasons 10 and 11 and later returned for seasons 13, 14, and 15.
In an online thread, one fan commented, “Watch for Jennifer Lopez’s return.”
“I feel like we gotta get back JLo- she’s less kooky and gave great advice,” a second wrote.
J.Lo previously opened up about her time on Idol in her Netflix documentary, Halftime.
The pop star explained the importance of the gig, especially since it came shortly after her divorce from Marc Anthony and after the birth of her twins, Emme and Max.
