The site says that the singer’s team met recently to discuss how to keep her away from “toxic people,” which reportedly includes one distant family member. One friend in particular is said to be on the focus list, as well.

After Lovato’s July 24 overdose, a source close to her told People that her friends had been worried about an event like this for some time. The source said she had been spending time with people who weren’t considering her health or well-being. “This is absolutely what so many people feared would happen,” the source said then.
