Is it wise for an artist to release a remix of a non-single that was originally issued nearly four years ago? It is if you can add Sam Smith into the fold. On Wednesday (May 20), Demi Lovato suggested on Twitter that Smith hop on a new version of of “Fix a Heart,” a track from her 2011 album Unbroken.
On Wednesday morning, Smith sent out a tweet that read “You never really can fix a heart,” which is a lyric from the Unbroken album track. Lovato quickly caught wind and replied:

Smith has yet to respond on Twitter, although the hashtag #DemiLovatoFeatSamSmith began trending soon after. Can the fans successfully will a Lovato-Smith collaboration into existence?
Lovato’s 2011 album Unbroken featured the Top 20 hits “Skyscraper” and “Give Your Heart a Break.” The pop-rock artist is currently working on the follow-up to her 2013 LP Demi, while Smith recently underwent successful vocal surgery.
