Alexa Demie, best known for her role as Maddy Perez on HBO’s hit-show Euphoria, has blown all our minds with her new, uber-short hair ‘do.

The actor was spotted err, burning sage (we’ll come back to that) outside a car repair shop in Los Angeles, dressed head-to-toe in black, with a new cropped haircut. Alexa accessorised the look with a pair of stylish black sunglasses and lug boots. But anyway, back to her hair. You can see the photos of Alexa’s new look, here.

Alexa’s character, Maddy Perez, is known for experimenting with various hairstyles, which – more often than not – make us seriously nostalgic for the early 2000s. Whether she’s slicking her hair back in a bun with two face-framing tendrils at the front, trying out mermaid waves, or, our favourite, gelling her baby hairs to her face, it’s fair to say that every look is an absolute treat.

Just like her character, Alexa has also been known to switch up her hairstyling game. Take the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2020, where she debuted a teensy-tiny micro-fringe, or, more recently, her spiky baby bangs for The Cut’s cover story on Euphoria.

While Alexa is known for her jet-black hair, she’s nothing if not versatile. As evidenced by her platinum-blonde locks in this Insta post she posted back in October 2021:

We’re not the only ones crushing on Alexa’s new look, as many fans took to Twitter to share their admiration. One person tweeted,”alexa demie with short hair makes me feel some type of way… [sic]” while another pointed out, “alexa demie cut all her hair off and now she’s living her best carrie-anne moss life [sic],” referring to Carrie-Anne Moss’s iconic get-up in The Matrix.
