Everything We Know About Demi Lovato’s Album ‘Holy Fvck’

As Demi Lovato prepares to return to rock with their eighth album, ‘HOLY FVCK,’ here’s a rundown of all the details we know about the LP so far, including singles “Skin Of My Teeth” and “Substance” and the full tracklist.

By the looks of Demi Lovato’s new album trailer, we’re in for emotional turbulence.

Demi Lovato Announces New Punk-Rock Album HOLY FVCK and Fall Tour

The video opens in dramatic fashion, with an eerily pallid man switching on a camcorder. Then, we see flashes of the making of Lovato’s new album, HOLY FVCK, from glimpses of Notes-app lyrics to snippets from the studio.

But then the pop-punk soundtrack (lead single “Skin of My Teeth,” due June 10) falls away. At the end of the 30-second clip, we see the singer silently brooding in a tub, alone — the antithesis of creative rapport. It seems Demi fans may be in for both extremes of isolation and jubilance, and everything between — and Lovato wouldn’t have it any other way.

On Aug. 19, the two-time GRAMMY nominee will drop HOLY FVCK on the world, thereby introducing the next era of their incisive and raw body of work. Here’s everything GRAMMY.com could find about the album.

Lovato Called The Album “So Representative Of Me”

Before officially announcing the album on June 6, Lovato shared some insights in an Instagram story in April.

“Getting emotional listening to my new album because I’m so proud of it,” they said. “It’s my absolute best yet and so representative of me, where I started and who I am today.”

Lovato Held An Impromptu Funeral For Their Pop Era

In January, the singer posted a photo sitting alongside members of their team, including their manager Scooter Braun and Island Records executives.

Flipping off the camera, Lovato dubbed the gathering “A funeral for my pop music” in their caption — ceremoniously finishing off their past era and thereby looking to a wide-open future.

(The photo is also now the first of only 32 posts on Lovato’s Instagram page, further putting their past behind them.)

Lovato Introduced HOLY FVCK With A Statement

In a public statement, Lovato outlined the rewarding journey of making HOLY FVCK.

“The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet, and I’m grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me,” they wrote. “Never have I been more sure of myself and my music, and this record speaks that for itself.

“To my Lovatics who have been rocking out with me since the beginning and those who are just now coming along for the ride, thank you,” Lovato continued. “This record is for you.”

“Skin Of My Teeth” Will Drop June 10

Prior to announcing the full album, Lovato revealed that the first single, titled “Skin Of My Teeth,” will arrive June 10.

They initially teased the track on TikTok with a devious selfie video that featured faux newspaper headlines like “Demi Leaves Rehab Again!” and “Freak Demi Lovato Screams Eat Me To Paparazzi.”

On the eve of the song’s release, Lovato will debut the song on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
