On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to point out Wynonna’s static performance, with many voicing concern about her health.

Country music legend Wynonna Judd performed alongside Emmy Russell for the American Idol final on Sunday.

For their live gig, Wynonna, 59, and the young star sang Coal Miner’s Daughter, which was originally released by Emmy’s grandmother Loretta Lynn.

Wynonna took to the stage in a full face of makeup, with a cowboy hat covering her bright red hair.

The celebrity added sparkling jewelry to her look, and embellished her black blazer with blue stones.

Despite her bold fashion, however, Wynonna seemed meek on stage, barely moving as she sang beautifully.

Abi Carter and Will Moseley got breakfast together this morning after being declared American Idol Season 22’s winner and runner-up, respectively.

“Breakfast at the airport after the craziest night of our lives,” the duo shared on Instagram.

After she was declared the winner on last night’s live finale, Abi Carter shared a post on Instagram thanking her fans.

“HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE!??!?!?!?” Abi wrote.

“We haven’t had a girl winner in over 4 years and to be the first after so many seasons is the greatest honor.

During Katy Perry’s duet with Jack Blocker on last night’s live finale, she stood on a towering platform as it was revealed she was wearing a giant gown with 168 faces of show alums on it to honor her seven seasons on the show.

“I thought a good way to honor my time here would be to put the top 24 of each season on my skirt so they were all there,” Katy told Entertainment Tonight.

Halfway through the show, Jack was announced by host Ryan Seacrest, 49, as the third runner-up.

Judge Katy Perry, 39, might have sobbed and voiced her opinion after each performance, but behind the scenes, she acted completely different.

An insider revealed to The U.S. Sun that during each commercial break, Katy was “glued to her phone” and “completely ignored” the audience.

“It was off-putting to see how she was so into her phone and ignored fans who were shouting her name.

“Fans shouted, ‘Katy! Katy!” and, ‘We love you Katy!’ and if anything, she would quickly turn around to glance at them, but then went back to texting,” the insider shared.

“She acted very cold toward the audience and would not sign any autographs or take any photos with them.”

What Emmy said about her grandma

When Luke Bryan asked Emmy Russell where she sings during her audition, Russell responded, “I don’t really sing out as much anymore, but growing up I sang on the road, my grandma’s a country singer.”

Viewers then got to see a tour of her “meemaw’s house” in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Following her successful audition, Russell shared her excitement for the road ahead.

“I was thinking about my grandma, but I was also like ‘Emmy, she’s with you, and now it’s your turn. I think I’m more like her now than I was whenever I was trying to be like her,” the musician said.

“Excited. I’m really excited,” she added.

Following a massively successful career, Lynn died at age 90 on October 4, 2022, in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
