While she certainly seems to be entertaining the glamorous lifestyle nowadays, earlier this year Joy confessed her childhood was far more humble, when she starred in Playboy as Miss February 2017.
Growing up on a small farm in North Carolina, she explained to the ɴuᴅᴇ mag: ‘I grew up poor. I didn’t know drinking powdered milk and wearing hand-me-downs wasn’t the norm.’ She went on to admit that she is now very proud of the career she has carved, after many locals in her town scorned her decision to be a lingerie model.
