After her recent stint in rehab Lindsay Lohan is slowly returning to the party circuit, and on Wednesday she attended an official dinner celebrating New York Fashion Week.

And the actress certainly made her presence known, looking like a bombshell in a low-cut dress.

However, the revealing nature of her frock forced the star to go bra-less, and at one point she nearly suffered from a wardrobe malfunction.

Cuddling up to founder and owner of French fashion and culture magazine Purple, Olivier Zahm, the Mean Girls star nearly exposed herself.

Despite the the near disaster, Lindsay still looked great in her little black halterneck dress, which she accessorised with a wide belt to accentuate her slim middle.

She also wore a pair of sheer and velvet Christian Louboutin ankle boots and a long pendant necklace.

Once again, Lilo looked a lot healthier, her skin radiant with subtle make-up, including an application of red lipstick.

Her famous flame red hair was also perfectly coiffed into soft bouncy curls.

At the dinner, Lindsay also caught up with Katy Perry’s best pal and jewelery designer Markus Molinari.

Earlier in the day, Lindsay was seen making her way around Manhattan in another little black and navy dress.

She looked chic in the understated, yet sexy two-toned silky slip, which showed off her new curves.

She teamed the attire with a patterned Givenchy handbag and a pair of beige ankle boots.

A large pair of sunglasses and two necklaces completed her low-key look.

Lindsay’s so far positive progress may have a lot to do with the fact that she has been spending time with her $2,500 a day ‘sober companion’.

Clearly keen to overcome her demons, she has hired the coach to help her stay on track and steer her away from temptation.

Linday’s decision to employ a coach to help her fight temptation is a good sign she might stay clean this time around.

Lindsay is currently living in New York with her younger sister Ali, a model, and is focusing on her health following her much-reported troubles.
