KATY Perry fans were left horrified after the singer’s eyelid appeared to get stuck while she performed on stage – but not all is as it seems.
Supporters were left fearing the pop star, 38, had suffered from facial paralysis during her Las Vegas residency.

Rumours began to swirl on social media after a video showing a snippet of her “malfunction” during the show was circulated.
The clip, which has racked up over 18 million views, shows the singer struggling to open her right eye as she tries to prompt it with her hand.
Sporting a silver dress adorned in crushed cans, Katy is seen battling to reopen her flickering eyelid while staring off into the distance in the middle of her show.
She then casually turns to look at the crowd and regains composure, before telling fans: “Make even more noise for my band.”
Fans were left worried for the hitmaker’s health following the glitch, suggesting she may have been struck down by facial paralysis.
One concerned commenter wrote: “What in the Justin Bieber is going on here?”
Another added: “Is this real? Really worried for her.”
And a third chimed in: “Doesn’t matter what caused it. The fact that it happened is scary as hell.
“Politics aside this is a health issue and I wish the best for her.”
But clued-up members of her “KatyCats” fanbase offered up a solid explanation for the eye defect during her notoriously squeaky-clean performance.
They explained the California-born artist takes on the roll of a doll-like character as a skit throughout her show.
One Reddit user observed: “It’s like one of those dolls that you tilt back and the eyes close, but one of the eyelids got stuck open.
“The resemblance is uncanny.”
Another replied: “That’s literally exactly what she’s going for lol. She plays a toy doll in a giant toy box in her residency show.”
Others went on to divulge how Katy takes mimics the actions of an old-school doll “in a Toy Story type of environment.”
Users then began to applaud her dedication to the role, saying she “nailed” the imitation.
During an episode of American Idol last year – where Katy sits on the judge’s panel – she told a contestant she suffers from “wonk eye”.
She reassured Caleb Kennedy, 17, and told him to “celebrate” his lazy eye that he wore large hats to cover.
KATY’S ‘WONK EYE’
The mum said: “I have a wonk eye as well, and I used to be worried about it.
“Then a bunch of my fans created a fandom over my wonk-eye. I even have a fandom that calls itself, ‘Katy’s wonk-eye.’”
“It’s my right eye. So just celebrate all that stuff. Don’t worry about it.”
In 2011, she revealed she had got a prescription to help her condition as she noticed it flared up “whenever I take pictures”.
Others suggested the dolled-up Firework singer could have run into a makeup malfunction during her esteemed Vegas show.
One fan said: “Lol it’s her eyelash glue getting stuck to her bottom lid, happens to me all the time.”
And some joked Katy had been hit by a “mechanical failure” or a “glitch” in the matrix.
“Clone failure. Next time make sure all software are updated and make necessary patches,” one user commented.
Katy has been wowing fans with her Play residency at Resorts World in Las Vegas since she bagged the gig last December.
But some supporters feared the performer had been struck down by facial paralysis during her show.
It comes after Justin Bieber revealed he has been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which incapacitated the right side of his face.
He was forced to postpone and eventually cancel the rest of his Justice tour as he decided to make his “health a priority.”
