With spring in full bloom, we’ve seen celebrity after celebrity undergo hair transformation after hair transformation. After all, it’s only natural to welcome in the new season with a fresh cut, right?! And next up on the evergrowing hairspo roster is Katy Perry with her head-turner of a choppy fringe.
Taking to her main feed Instagram, Katy shared a two-part carousel post to debut said look. And as she wrote in the caption, this glam makeover came to us for the new episode of American Idol. She wrote: “I hope u save some of ur Easter treats for stress eating during #idol tonight cause we’re narrowing it down to the top 24 😮🥺”.

To accompany the nude-toned beat that makeup maestro Michael Anthony worked up, Katy’s hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero gave her a very on-trend piece-y fringe. Julia Roberts, Paris Hilton and Anne Hathaway have all sported similar ‘dos as of late, too.

Now, as much as we’d like to believe that Katy went the full nine yards with this chop, we’re going to speculate in saying that it is most likely a clip-in hair extension piece. I mean, with such a demanding job comes equally demanding beauty changes.
Regardless, temporary or not, we’ve got to give credit where credit is due, as this look is pure fire and ofc, I’ll be using it as the reference image at my next salon appointment!
