Reality TV star Kim Kardashian showed off her Oscars ‘look’ but failed to make it clear to her followers that she didn’t actually attend the A-list event in Los Angeles

The reality TV performer posted two photos of herself wearing the design, captioning her posts: “Throwback to this Oscar look – thank you Rita for this iconic Alexander McQueen oyster dress.”

She also failed to mention her ex-husband Kanye West, with fans mocking her for not saying that she was at an after-show party rather than mixing it with the movie greats at the sumptuous Hollywood bash.

One fan noted: “She’s so bothered,” as another claimed she had previously proved herself capable of a sleight of hand.

A third posted: “She always tells the pettiest lies. I don’t get it,” with one snarling: “Wouldn’t it make more sense to not mention where she got the dress at all then?”

Last year, fans were equally perplexed when Kim sent out another Oscars party picture, including snaps on the red carpet at her $60million (£50m) home, but did not make it clear she had failed to make the ceremony’s guest list.

However, her sister Kourtney last year upstaged her when she became the first of the Kardashian clan to attend the glamorous Hollywood event, with her then-fiance, the musician Travis Barker, who played in a band at the ceremony.

Mother-of-four Kim was mocked for her suggestive caption: “OSCARS 2022,” as she displayed her charms in a turquoise gown, and was accused for trying to upstage her sibling at the Vanity Fair party.

One critic shared her post saying: “Captioned as though she attended the actual Oscars,” as another added: “I guess Kourtney had too much attention today.”
