Kylie Jenner has made it official and legally renamed her youngest son Aire Webster.
New court documents reveal that the 25-year-old cosmetic mogul’s son has been officially granted the new name as of June 22, E! News reported on Monday.
She first revealed the new name to the public back in January of this year.
She and her former partner Travis Scott, who is Aire’s father, had originally named the tot Wolf Jacques Webster, though they quickly decided that the name didn’t suit him.
Although fans continued to refer to their son as Wolf until the unveiling of the Aire name, Kylie clarified in her Instagram Stories in March 2022 — just a month after his birth — that he was no longer named Wolf.
‘We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,’ Kylie shared at the time.
By January of this year, when Kylie shared the new name, it was reported that Aire meant Lion of God.
In March, TMZ reported that Kylie and Travis had filed documents to change their son’s name, and it appears to have taken about three months for the process to be completed.
It appears that Kylie and Travis had also opted to ditch Aire’s original middle name Jacques, and it is unclear if he has a new middle name instead, or even if he will be going without.
It is a somewhat surprising deletion, as that name seemed to signal his closeness to his father Travis.
The rapper’s real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, meaning that Aire previously had his father’s real first name as his middle name.
Jenner and Scott were reported to have split, seemingly for good, in January of this year.
At the time, a source attributed the breakup to the couple different — and incompatible — lifestyles and parenting philosophies, according to People.
‘Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier,’ they said, before noting that, ‘Travis is the opposite. He likes to party.’
They added that the exes ‘definitely have different focuses. They always did.’
The insider also claimed that Kylie would ‘flip out’ whenever cheating rumors emerged about her partner.
‘There is a reason that they never got married,’ the insider continued, before noting that the couple had always maintained separate residences and had never lived together, even after having two children together.
Kylie and Travis also share their older daughter Stormi Webster, five, who was born in February of 2018.
