Lindsay Lohan displays her slender frame in bikini-clad throwback selfie as she looks ahead to Dubai beach break

She was last seen stepping out for dinner in chilly London on Monday evening, but Lindsay Lohan’s mind was clearly occupied with thoughts of sunnier climes the following day.

Taking to Instagram, the actress Mean Girls star posted a throwback photo in which she is seen looking trim while relaxing in a canary yellow bikini during a recent stay at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort.

Behind, a picturesque beach front vista is evident, complete with obligatory palm trees and a visible patch of golden sand.

Captioning the shot Lindsay suggested she would be back in the Arab playground soon, writing: ‘Excited to come back and visit @karen_w_b and Georgie!!!’

But while Lindsay looks ahead to her next holiday, she has mixed fortunes both personally and professionally following a successful run in a West End revival of David Mamet’s Hollywood satire Speed The Plow.

Last month Lohan was hospitalised after contracting the Chikungunya virus – an illness contracted through mosquito bites – while on holiday French Polynesia over the Christmas holidays in December.

Doctors at King Edward have reportedly referred the star to a specialist to manage symptoms related to the virus.

Lindsay was also told she could face jail for failing to properly complete a 240-hour community service order given to her after she crashed her Porsche into an 18-wheel lorry in America in 2012.

The troubled star was given permission to transfer her hours to Britain after moving to London ten months ago, and was assigned to working with the Community Service Volunteers Positive Futures Project in Hackney.

However, she invoked the wrath of Los Angeles prosecutor Terry White after it emerged she had received credits for meeting and greeting volunteers during her run at the Playhouse Theatre in London’s West End.

She also allowed volunteers from the project to shadow her at work for hours. According to documents, these activities allowed the former Disney child star to provide volunteers from the project with ‘an insight into a very different working life giving invaluable and unique experiences’ to them.

Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White will have until February 18 to investigate whether Lindsay has fulfilled her requirements.
