Lindsay Lohan has certainly noticed Disney’s trend of giving animated classics the live action treatment – and she’s got a plan of her own.
The Mean Girls star has moved on from campaigning for a sequel to the popular comedy and turned her attention to a potential reboot of The Little Mermaid.
She shared a selfie of herself with red hair alongside Ariel from the 1989 film and put herself forward for the lead role if Disney were to remake it.

She wrote: “I will sing again, as #ariel #thelittlemermaid @disney approve that #billcondon directs it along with my sister @alianamusic singing the theme song for the soundtrack.”
@Also @kgrahamsfb plays Ursula. Simply because, she is the best. Take one. @Disneystudios”
Last summer, there were reports that Disney bosses were in talks about a possible live action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Vulture said in November that he had held “super-early talks” regarding the films after he started work on Moana.
