Madison Beer sheds light on modern societal pressures in new track “Dear Society”

Indie pop singer Madison Beer shares the visual for her lead single “Dear Society” which details the societal pressures in this modern era.

Beleaguered by peer pressures, unrealistic beauty standards and the collective excess of social media, we can say today’s generation has a lot to deal with. This is tackled by Beer who delivers a heart-wrenching performance over the guitar-driven instrumental courtesy of producers Big Taste and One Love. It’s a dynamic pop track, that’s catchy but also expresses personal insight found in the lyrics; “…want this song to be an anthem for my fans so they know they are not alone; we are all in this struggle together ”

The visual, directed by The Young Astronauts and Madison herself, blend the old and the new in a very detailed manner. Shot with a grainy, vintage aesthetic, the video mix’s elements of cult thrillers and psychological horror as it subtly shares the songs deeper message about the harmful effects of societal pressure.

Outside of her own music, Madison appeared on David Guetta’s album 7 and was featured on K/DA’s debut track “POP/STARS. “Dear Single” is off her upcoming debut album. Get “Dear Society” on all platforms here.
