A second said: “I need this whole outfit! And I mean the car! I am freaking obsessed! Give me all the Barbie vibes!”

In the trailer for what promises to be this year’s summer blockbuster, Margot’s character Barbie can be seen slipping out of her bright pink plastic heels – while her foot retains the high arch shape.

And now the Australian actress has confirmed that the stunt was done using her own feet.

Fans on social media praised the 32-year-old's transformation for the character
With stars like Chrissy Teigen begging for a “whole documentary” to be made about how that scene was filmed, Margot finally let slip a few secrets.

It took “probably eight takes” to get right, as Margot didn’t want to use CGI to get the scene right.

Instead, her plastic shoes were taped down to the floor so they wouldn’t move, while Margot clutched onto a bar nearby to keep her balanced on tip-toes.

She explained: “[It took] probably eight takes. It wasn’t that many.”

Speaking to Fandango, she went on: “They are my feet. I walked up, we had those sticky bits on the floor, double-sided tape for the shoes, so they wouldn’t come off, so I could get my feet out of them.

“I was holding onto, like, a bar, but that was it. I wasn’t in a harness or anything like that. I just walked up, kinda held onto the bar above the camera, and stepped off.”
