KATY Perry looked as though she wanted to be sick after eating some cherry pie on the red carpet at KIIS FM’S Wango Tango.

The I Kissed A Girl star tried a mouthful of the delectable looking dish before spitting it back out again before she took to the stage to perform.

She was offered the pie by DJ Chuey Martinez as she arrived at the event in Los Angeles.

Although she seemed more than up for having a bite, as soon as the pie touched her lips it all started to go downhill.

It’s not known what made the pie so awful that 32-year-old Katy decided she couldn’t even manage a polite swallow.

She spat out the pie and pulled a face as those around her laughed.

Luckily it didn’t affect her performance when she later took to the stage.

She wowed her fans by performing a series of her hit songs as the sun shined down on the crowds.

Katy kept to her lemon yellow theme and chose a daring mini dress which showed off her long legs.

The singer teamed the outfit with a pair of fake leather suspenders and silver boots.

Taking off her sunglasses, Katy gave the set her all – running around and dancing along to her music.

She was joined at the event by former One Direction star Niall Horan.

The singer performed his latest track Slow Hands at the concert.

While he was in town for the gig, Niall met up with his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

The pair posted a picture online of Liam jokingly christening the Irish star with his enormous gold chain.

Niall has made no secret of how much he values his friendship with Liam and has admitted he can’t wait to meet his baby son Bear.

He told radio host Darryl Morris earlier this month: “I haven’t seen the baby yet, and I can’t wait. I’ve got all me presents…

“I’ve got trainers, a couple little bits and pieces, a couple of hampers.”
